Q. Why was DASA started?
Mr. Shyam Ramanna started Digital Asia School of Animation (DASA) to
provide world with international standard animators who know the
technique and not the software. It is a platform where aspiring
animators can learn and acquire the technical knowledge and the
skill-set required to become animators that have the technical as
well as the artistic eye to be world-class animators. DASA has been
established with the concept of providing state of the art
animation, special effects, game development, and virtual reality
development courses to people who aspire to establish a career in
the respective fields.
Q. What are the courses being
offered by DASA?
We are offering a Diploma In. Animation Film Animation, Diploma in
Game Designing, Diploma in Virtual Reality, and short term courses.
Q. What is the duration of course?
Diploma in film Animation is for 1 Year
Diploma in Game design is for 1 Year
Diploma in Virtual reality is for 6 months
Q. Is there any eligibility criteria for these courses?
A candidate has to be at least 10 + 2 and also has to clear an
entrance exam.
Q. Why should one join DASA?

2. A study Tour to Bangkok is part of Film Animation program wherein a

Q. Is lack of knowledge and experience of animation a handicap
for joining the DASA?
DASA courses have been designed to fulfill the perceived needs of a
new entrant to the field of 3D animation film making.
Q. What is the content of practical work in various courses?
DASA puts a lot of stress on practical training .85% of the training
and education is practical in nature.
Q. Are boarding and the lodging arrangements for the outstation
students made by DASA?
DASA will assist the outstation students to get a PG accommodation
or a flat on sharing basis.
Q. What about the placement after training?
If the work of the student is as per the international standards
getting a job won’t be a problem.
Q. What is the future scope of Animators?
Animation is one of the very few industries that can boast starting
salaries that are way above the industry average, and the analysts
report this industry to be the next biggest boom in India after
Information Technology.
Q. What is the capacity of your school? How many students per
class?
6-8 students per class.
